There is still lots of packing to be done. We are thinking about getting Ethan into a preschool after we are all settled. He has a areal thirst for knowledge. He can count to ten ( sometimes 12 ), recognize alot of numbers and letters and lately he has been asking me to teach him how to write letters. Today the big brown truck came with boom boxes but they weren't the same ones. They were bigger more expensive machines. Apparently they had run out of them so they substituted with a Phillips CD Soundmachine with twice the ARV ( approximate retail value). Both are worth 100 bucks a piece. So I did good. We went to Busch gardens yesterday and enjoyed our last day of the season there ( we had a 4 day pass). It wasn't hard at all ,actually. We were preparerd and our little neighbourhood wasn't hit very hard. There were no trees down but alot of branches on the ground and shutters had flown off. We were thinking that the radio must be exaggerating. We had no power since 10 in the morning that day so we couldn't see any of it on television. So we have decided to stick it out here . We are not in a major flood area and think everything should be okay. They have had mandatory evacuation in different areas of the city but we ae not in one of them. We do have an address for one of the shelters in case if it we decide to go but I think we will be more comfortable here. Looks like Isabel is heading more south of us, but we will still get some of it. we are under hurricane watch now and will probably still get some tropical storms. We are more concerned with flooding then anything at this point and still have not made a decision of we are leaving or staying. I never realized how much work a hurricane could be. Stores are out of batteries. Everyone has already stocked up. Alex has booked a hotel further inland in case of evacuation and we have already packed some stuff in a bag and are making plans for all the situations. Everyone here is getting ready for Hurricane Isabel. We might not even get it but it looks probable that we will get some of it anyway. Apparently People were flooding in the grocery stores, stocking up on supplies and oceanfront shops and businesses are getting ready to board up the windows. It was a little too short though. We had a nice side trip up to Haliburton and stayed a ahotel downtown for some of the time.
THE WEDDING- Awesome! It was so good to see Vicky so happy! She was absolutely stunning in her wedding dress and she married a really great guy. I am so happy for her.
